I find it very conveinient that they come to you while you are at work or even at home so you can do what you need to do while getting the maintenence for your car done at the same time for practically the same price as taking your car to "joe sh-moe." Not to mention the owner who does the work himself, is easy on the eyes!!

Dynamic Diesel is the best in every way! Customer service....when I can't get a ride....they deliver - me to my car or my car to me! They are always there in an emergency (which may not be such and emergency)....not just for us, but for my family and friends from out of town.....always, always, always!!!! Thanks Lin and Lorene and the rest of the Dynamic Diesel gang!

poor communication, failed repair

My Taurus went in for an A/C clutch replacement. After two days the repair failed.
I have not been able to get a refund for the work and have only had 2 of my 12+ phone calls returned.
While this company has stated that they have a good repair record, I feel that they are not willing to take care of the situations that could make them a great company.

Endless Frustration

I had an oil leak and though I would invest in getting it fixed, after two thousand dollars, and a great headache, I have a new problem every month with my car. I would think that after spending two thousand dollars I wouldn't have to put even more money into my car. Be wary of this business!

Liar, Liar, pants on fire....

I took my car to Harvey's to get a part replaced and they got me in quickly and fixed it for about the same price as other shops in the area had estimated. When it was done, they told me my front brakes were at 20% and needed to be done ASAP.
I remembered it wasn't so long ago that I had them done, so my "BS-o-meter" was pegging the redline. I took my car to Les Schwab today and - at no charge for diagnostic - they reassured me the brakes were at 50-60% and did not need any attention. I'll be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint against Harvey's -- BEWARE!!!

Get ready to pay...again

Bottom line: These guys are not the best at backing up their work. Here's the deal. Had a vehicle repaired for overheating, and then had to take it back in a couple weeks because it was still overheating. Come to find out they had put in a defective thermostat. While they didn't charge me labor on the second repair, they did charge me retail for parts, which is lame. I was willing to pay wholesale for the part the second time (I didn't want them to be out any hard costs), but I don't think I should have to pay retail for parts twice on a bad repair. The parts came to nearly $800 on the second repair (which is how they pay for labor, I guess). You either stand behind your work, or you don't. As a side note, I sense these guys are burnt out working with college students. A lot of frustrated rhetoric about "These college kids." In my case they wanted to blame my daughter instead of their parts supplier. If you want to spin the wheel and hope they get it right on the first try, go ahead. But if you have to take it back so that they get it right, you'll pay for the privilege.

Bad Bad Bad!

Also called Superior Marine, same shop two titles. I bought my boat from a guy that always used these guys for the maintenance. They signed-off on the engine before I bought it. A few weeks after I bought it, the engine went down hard and they said it needed to be rebuilt.
3 (summer) MONTHS and $4500 later, it was rebuilt. Ran fine after it was done, but they promised me it would be done every week by the end of the week. I stopped by one Friday to pick it up because they said it would be done and it wasn't. I found the owner there working on another customer's boat who'd said he could take it out for the weekend if he could get it fixed. He said he'd get it finished that night and I could pick it up Sat morning. Showed up Sat morning, nothing had been done and they were putting the last minute touches on the other boat so they could go to Lake Chelan for the weekend. He told me he'd make it a priority the following week but it was another 3 weeks before I got it back.
They also re-worked the trailer brakes (dual-axle drum surge brakes) for $800 (fall of 2008). Found that one of the drums broke and all of the break pads were completely shot over the weekend (June 2009). It had been towed to and from the lake (3 miles) several times and once from Seattle to Chelan and back. Cost to fix...$1200. I'm in the process of trying to get my money back from them for the brake work.
If you've got lots of time and don't mind false promises, then use these guys! If you want the work done right and in a timely fashion however...look elsewhere!
