I had my tires mounted, balanced and installed. They were all nice and attentive. The staff is laid back and friendly. My car was in and out quickly. They do a TON of custom upgrades and were really knowledgeable and offered up many options for things I could do to my car but weren't pushy. I'm definitely going back for all my after-market service here in Norfolk.

bad service

I have a honda civic, my car had some ding and dent problems and I want to also change the color of my paint. Well first talking to them everything seems fine, they told me the process would probably take a week. I picked their best painting plan. the signature.
And with waiting a week they are still not done, and said it would be done the next day, so the next day I would be waiting then it became a routine of saying the next day, before you know it. I've been waiting for my car for 3 1/2 weeks. The paint was the wrong color, the dents and dings that I wanted fix were Not even fixed. I demand that they change the color to the one I wanted. I wanted the color Black. They gave me a Maroon purple! Another part was that if I wanted them to repaint they would have to charge me more! And my car would have to be in their shop for another week which would probably turn out to be 2-3 weeks.
I didn't want to pay for the service again so I just took my car home. After 2 weeks my paint started to peel and chip off. I advise people to Not go to Chantilly Maaco to get their car done!!!

My car was very sick and had been to several shops with no good results. I dropped my car off with the people at Timber Ridge Auto and they called me with what they had found and it ended up only costing $184 to repair. The car runs great! They know what they are doing.

Took my car in for routine maintenence and an oil change. The guy talked my ear off for 15 minutes explaining that the reason they have ridiculous labor costs is because he spends 300K a year training his guys so that they can deal with all these new fancy cars and their computers. Then, when I got in my car, I noticed that they never even reset the oil life indicator. It wasn't even something hard to do. So, I checked the upper corner of the windshield, and surprise, No sticker! The've been putting stickers in windows for decades! To make matters worse, my car stunk of smoke for days afterward. It just makes me wonder, if they missed some stupid little things like that, what else did they forget to do or just not do! Horrible....will go to Purvis next time!

Stay away from this AAMCO!

After telling the dealer I needed to know what the worst case scenario would be and being told approximately $2200 and then getting a $4500 estimate I am told I need to now pay $895 for the estimate if I don't get it repaired. After going to AAMCO corporate and complaining, they told me he received my authorization on the estimate fee, when I asked for proof they faxed me an obviously forged signature and a date when I wasn't even in the state.
After telling Corporate about this they said there was nothing they can do that I would need to take legal action.
So it is now over 4 months and they still have my car. I have contacted the DA's office to press charges but am told I need to file a civil case first and then a criminal so.... It is off to court.
Beware especially of the Aamco in Vienna VA.

On 12/10/08 the thermostat in my van had gone out. I was at work, and called the Precision Tune located in Lino Lakes,MN. They assured me that if I got there before 6:00 p.m. they would fix this problem. I pleaded to get off work so I could get this taken care of, which by the way had inconveinced 3 other co-workers. I got to Precision at 5:30 p.m. and was refused service, even though I was promised service. On 12/11/08 I took my van to a local mechanic, was given very good customer service, who took only 45 min. to replace the thermostat. He also took the extra time to make sure all the air pockets were taken care of.

These guys prey on college students and then make up bogus charges to get as much money as possible from us. They have now started towing cars from the Radford area too, as well as citing an extra 'transport' fee for taking the damn car all the way to Blacksburg!!!
They are lying, rude, and dishonest in their business practices...stay away from valley towing!!
