*****  Customer Beware

on Marv's Body Shop Incorporated
I recently had my car repaired at Marv's Body Shop. The first thing I noticed when I picked it up was the hole in my headliner over the door that they repaired. Then I noticed the screws that were visible around the window gasket. The ignored some of the damage from the accident and it was not repaired. To top it off, the next day, the repairs to the windshield were literally falling off the car as it sat in the driveway. GROSS INCOMPETENCE! They demonstrated contempt for me (the customer) by allowing this type of "work" to leave the shop and acting as if I should simply accept it as was. I took pictures of all of this and emailed it to both the insurance company and Marv at Marv's Body Shop. I dropped my car off the next working day (goody - more of my time getting something fixed). They blamed the hole in the headliner on me, wouldn't assure me that I wouldn't be charged for the repairs they missed, and then pointed out how difficult I was when I confronted them about the repairs (more contempt). When I reacted in kind, they pointed that out as well. So, if you want incompetent work performed on your car, take it to Marv's. If you decide to complain, expect to be treated with utter contempt as they expect you to accept their shoddy work, point out all of your anger at a lousy job, and expect you will have to pay for any damages they cause to your vehicle). NEVER AGAIN!
*****  They ruined my engine

I took my vehicle here to get it ready for a vacation trip. $482.00 later I get it back and the check engine light came on almost immediately. I check my oil (which was SUPPOSED to be changed) and it was way over-full and dark in color. So, I called them and took it back. They fixed the check engine light and SAID they drained the excess oil. So, I leave for my vacation and 325 miles from home it starts knocking, losing compression. I went to a shop and they told me that I need a new engine due to the fact that my vehicle had DOUBLE the amount of oil in it and the crank shaft was swimming in it. (This has since been confirmed).
I called their shop and was told they weren't going to take some other mechanics word for it because I might be friends with them. Sure! This is a plot hatched up by me to pretend they messed my car up and I am a genius because I made my car throw a rod 325 miles from home where I just HAPPENED to know a mechanic. Bad business practices, sloppy work, dishonest and I get to pay for a new engine.
