Bad Mechanics - Rip Offs

Beware of this shop. These are the bad mechanics you hear about. They will install/charge you for items you don't need. They have terrible attitudes and they don't even have a diagnostic machine. You have been warned.

I had a trasmission replaced at AAMCO, they did not replace all my seals like they said they would, I had to go back and get my front seal replaced (the whole trasmission had to come out) and when i went to go my car serviced at another location they told me that my tramission was still leaking, I tod them were I had work done and they said they aint worth a sh*t (his exact words) DO NOT GO TO AAMCO, the owner is shifty, my father had to tell him off, he's a crook and give good AAMCO companies a bad name.

Incompetent crooks

This place is run by incompetent crooks.
Several years ago I took my Ford Ranger truck to them and had the transmission supposedly rebuilt for around $1700. After the repair, I drove the truck very little, because I had just bought a new car. After a few hundred miles, the transmission failed again, a few days after Mountain View's 90 day warranty expired. I returned the truck, and was charged another $300. 90-some days after the second "repair", the transmission failed again. I parked the truck. I started to spend a lot of time taking care of my terminally parents at their house, eventually moving in. I had to leave the truck at my house because it couldn't be driven. It was later stolen. Thanks to Mountain View Auto Repair, I am out $2000 and a good truck. I would not let these people work on a bicycle or lawnmower, much less a motor vehicle!
