Given the experiences of my girlfriend I tried this guy out and found he is pretty trustworthy honest. That was 4 years ago and I still take all of my vehicles to him for repairs, wether minor or major he will do an excellent job.

These guys do not stand behind their work. They are very creative with excuses, however. I spent $1,000 having them fix the oil leaks in my classic car. Now it won't shift correctly, "clunks" at the third member and smokes from a "repaired", but leaking valve cover. They tell me all is well -- their parts work great, I should have replaced more parts. I just asked them to stop leaks and agreed to their significant quote for work. BEWARE!!

He has years of experience with Toyota/Scion/Lexus as he worked for them for years and was a top mechanic. He is honest and charges honest rates. Tells it the way it is and looks out for potential problems. Highly recommended.

These guys know how to fix cars!
Had strange problem with engine acting funny with my 01 Nissan Maxima. Other places I brought to changed all sorts of stuff and couldn't solve problem. After diagnostics, they called to explain problem, cost of repair, and got my consent to do repairs. Technicians were very nice and highly technical. They hooked up a computer scope and explained to me in very simple terms why my car was having problems.

Wow, I had a similar experience as the previous reviewer. I asked them to check my two front struts and I left to walk around town...hours later I checked back and my boyfriend busted them trying to replace all 4 struts..but ALL of them were fine, none needed replacing!!! Then, a day or so later, terrible noises start coming from the car and we find out from another mechanic that the cv boot was ripped and one of the struts put back together wrong. We called Shavano to see if they could tow the car in and fix it...and they hung up on us! I'll be sending them a bill but they don't seem honorable enough to reimburse me. Bad service, dishonest, DO NOT GO THERE!

I purhased a car from Johhni's Auto and they were all about customer service and they sell the best cars for less and they have been in business for over 50 years. Shortly after the purchase they would not return my phone calls to address the problems I was having with the vehicle. You cannot trust this dealership. these guys are jokes, they built a turbo motor for a homie and blew the motor testing it out. then they said the rings were sleeping LOL wtf does that mean??? then they steal his old setup that was pulled from the car and refused to return it claiming it was stolen from the shop. so down with a b16 block and a b16 lsd tranny i dont reccomend you take any car there not even for an air filter change they might charge you for it and not change it these guys should be shut down by the BBB its amazing how they are still there cause if this was me i would have handled things in an unncivilized manor! STAY AWAY take your car to a more professional and experienced shop

Harry is the best, he is kind, patient and will try to fix your car. They do the job fast, but in great quality, flawless. I highly recommend them. They do mechanical and body repairs, I've heard from people that the body repairs are the best in LA.
